A client told me her children had been admitted to their schools. I went over the younger child’s BaZi chart for the coming year.

Renchen [redacted]. Her BaZi (known in the West as the Four Pillars of Destiny) is born in the Xu month. Geng metal is already present, so fire is favorable — when fire comes, there will be achievement. Geng metal is a bi jie (peer/competitor element). When bi jie is active, it points to an arts path, with achievement in Western instruments and string instruments. Next year is Yisi year (after Start of Spring 2025). Si fire comes out of the Xu storage — that will be a highlight period. Yi wood comes out on the stem, but it comes from two storages, so family control is still strong. Getting into the school should be no real issue, but her grades won’t be top of the class. Because there is Chen on the year pillar, it’s easy for people with connections to push ahead of her in the rankings. If the exam is after May on the solar calendar, that is best — she will be able to play to her strengths. A few notes: 1. Dragons are not favorable for the home. But the child’s year pillar is dragon, so her study state in 2024 will be average, just getting by, and her health will be poor. One of the parents (or possibly the grandparents’ generation) will hold things back, and there won’t be full agreement on education ideas for the child. The child will also tend to feel lost. In the new year, everyone needs to pull in the same direction. For this chart, the mother — you — should be the one to call the shots, and everyone else should follow your lead.

八字生在戌月，庚金已经出来了，就喜火出来，出来就有成就。庚金是比劫，比劫做功，就是走艺术道路，西方乐器以及弦乐上会有成就。
明年是乙巳年，（2025年立春以后），巳火从戌库中出，就是高光时刻，乙木出干，但是从两个库中出，还是家内控制权大，因此考上学校基本没有问题，但是成绩上不拔尖，因为年上还有辰，容易有走关系的人，挤到你孩子的排名前面。
考试如果在阳历5月之后那就是最好，可以发挥出优势来。
几个注意事项：
1 家里忌龙，但是小孩年柱是龙，所以在2024年学习状态一般，很勉强，而且身体不好，父母对于教育（也可能是爷爷奶奶这一辈）有人拖后腿，对于小孩教育观念不算完全一致，小孩也容易迷茫。在新的一年里要做到劲儿劲儿儿往一处使，这个八字母亲（你）说了算了可以了，其他人配合你。
