She asked if a long-stalled course collaboration was worth restarting and if it would turn a profit. I said there would be many obstacles, but it could work out.

Hey Zongyuan, I'm here ~ I found a well-known teacher again and I'm reaching out to restart our contact. We had almost finalized a collaboration the year before last, but she suddenly got very sick — I don't know what illness, it was serious, she was bedridden for a year. That made the collaboration we'd mostly agreed on fall through. At one point someone like her assistant contacted me, saying she already had a Chinese organization as a partner and couldn't work with me. I thought that was odd. Now it looks like she's recovered, and I haven't seen any Chinese organization running her courses these past few years. So I reached out to her again, and she actually replied. But it feels like she's forgotten a bit — I was talking to her about courses, but she thought I wanted to talk about book publishing. Because this course has had such messy twists and turns, and it's not cheap either, I wanted to ask if it's worth moving forward with, if it can make money, and what to watch out for ❤️

This combination-clash dynamic is what I just mentioned about details being changed constantly after an initial agreement. Also, because there's a 'stored palace' indicator, the collaboration will become a three-party arrangement — meaning you and this teacher work together, but a third party comes in to oppose you. It's like there's easy competition that snatches the partner halfway, or other people interfering with decisions, and it ends up requiring three-party coordination. This third party could also be the company behind the teacher. Another way to read it: you originally planned for this one teacher to teach the course, but it ends up being two teachers, one main and one supporting.
